Steph’s had a rough year. He was injured, fought openly with his coach, testified in court that he fucked a Knicks intern in the back of his SUV in a parking lot, was benched for unclear reasons (is crazy a reason?) and now watches games from home, or the Staples Center, hoping for a buyout while refusing to relinquish more than $1mil of his $20+mil salary.
He also put out $20 sneakers through Steve & Barry’s which shortly after filed for bankruptcy and closed its doors.
Yes, they fall apart if you play basketball (or even wear them every day) but it’s such a radical and important, idea, and I’m proud of him for it.
This is how serious the idea is:

I don’t even like how they look, but I owned two pairs and wore them until they fell apart (which wasn’t very long, but I think I walk wrong).
This fall, I went to Steve & Barry’s final sale and couldn’t find a third pair in my size.
A typical Starbury:

Barkley: I love [politics]. Like, I’m really disturbed about the gay marriage thing. Because I think gay people should get married, cause it’s their own business. I was disturbed at the amount of black people who voted for that [amendment that would limit their rights]. Because as a black man, I think you’ve got to be against any form of discrimination. I do. I’m against any form of discrimination, and I think especially as a black person, who has seen a lot of racial [stuff] in my day, for us to jump on the bandwagon in some form of discrimination, it bothers me.
